Project Description:
How the Project is organized:
Because the personnel support for the project is a mixture of staff from
half a dozen public and private organizations, as well as volunteers, the
project is managed by a steering committee made up of representatives from
the participating organizations. There are teams for each project element
(Volunteer Management, GIS, Network Infrastructure, Document Database
Webserver, GIS/Document Database Integration, Evaluation and Outreach).
The project team leaders manage their teams according to their timelines,
and meet together with the Steering Committee once a month.
