Absent: Ed Henn,

1a) We approved Bob Gonzalez' request on behalf of some Holmes Jr Hi Multi-Media students who want to do a web page for All Things Right and Relevant Thrift Store.
We approved a 6 month shell account in the name of the nonprofit All Things Right & Relevant.
Bob asked for help with teaching the students to design a web page that would fit with the DCN style. We discussed the fact that DCN stresses accessibility and that sponsored pages should have a DCN acknowledgement on the home page. Regarding the training we had two suggestions:
* ask Jan Meizel if she knows a high school student who could go over to Holmes at the time the Holmes students have their class with Gonzalez for a cross-age teaching experience
* see if the students could meet at the City lab on a Monday evening for a DCN volunteer training session.
We told Bob to come back to the IPC if an extension is necessary at the end of 6 months.

1b) c) We were unable to Review Davis Water Polo Club nonprofit account Web Page or the Hospice page because we could not access the Internet on the Lab computers. However, Anne had already reviewed the pages and found them appropriate for continuation of their nonprofit account status except that they do not have a DCN acknowledgment on their pages. Anne agreed to contact the Water Polo Group to ask for this to be added - and to ask Hospice again. (They have already been reminded once).

2. We agreed that we should not make the use of a proprietary domain name a reason for denying a nonprofit account to a nonprofit that will require virtual hosting services (which they will pay for like any other virtual host)

3. We adjourned at 7:30pm
