b) We approved the following Mailman DRAFT policies to
recommend to DCN Board.

The IPC can authorize the use of Mailman Lists by not-for-profit community
groups under the following draft guidelines:
a) There need be no maximum limit per group but the IPC will use the criterion
that the number must be "reasonable" in the circumstances.
b) The lists will be free of charge but groups should be made aware that a
donation would be appreciated - or an offer of quid-pro-quo volunteer help.
At present quid-quo-pro help includes assistance in the development of an
easy to understand Q&A Web Help page for Mailman managers (administrators)
and/or willingness to be 'trainers' to help other groups become proficient in
the use of Mailman.
c) Groups will be asked to make every effort to ensure the continuity of sufficient knowledge within their groups to allow the lists to be continue being administered efficiently by succeeding volunteers.
d) The Web Team will help groups with the initial set up of each list but
subsequent help will be available only at periodic (monthly?) MailMan sessions.

c) Continued discussions about templates being planned
by Web Team was tabled to a future meeting.

Anne asked Frank Schick about his interest in requestion DCN help. She will send him the IPC web page address to help him decide.
