NOTE TAKER: Paul Healey A Approval of Agenda Approved. B. Housekeeping -- Approve notes of 06/10/98 meeting. Approved. C. Business 1. New Projects / Discount Awards a) Yolo Hospice Miniproject. The Yolo Hospice has found that fewer patients and families have been using its services recently and hopes that outreach through the Web might change that. Virginia Shubert and Erinn Melby described the kinds of information they would like to present, and Steve McMahon reviewed the available options for Webteam assistance. The project was approved for a six-month period with three dial-up accounts, Webteam assistance and training. 2. Clarification of Printed Matter project. Tabled in Richard Yamagata's absence, although Steve McMahon relayed the Executive Committee's opinion that advertising on the site was not inconsistent with DCN's previous practice. This was disputed, and discussion will continue at the next meeting. 3. Mail lists with non-subscriber as owner. Tabled. 4. Chair Anne Hance noted that her proposal for nonprofit discounts had been approved by the Board, and that Staff will include that in their next review of the pricing structure. In addition, Anne proposed a set of criteria (listed on the agenda) for IPC approval of such discounts. Steve McMahon noted that subdomains of davis.ca.us could be assigned by the domain administrator, and that the restriction to dcn.davis.ca.us might not be necessary. The tentative proposal to exclude political action or persuasion groups from eligibility raised several questions, and that, along with the other criteria, will be discussed at future meetings. The remaining agenda items were tabled. Meeting adjourned at approximately 7:30 PM.
